i was thinking about you livejournal. i like to from time to time check you and see what the hell kind of craziness was going on in my life. i'm kind of bummed about not being able to find another blog i made years ago. it was a blogpod.com thing but it's no more...which kind of sucks because i used it when i lived in stardust. lord only knows what kind of juicy juiciness i've lost. perhaps it's for the best. last night i had a strange dream. i lived on a tree-lined street with my mom but i wanted to move out. and i did. i found a place right across the street from my mom's house. it was a basement apt. from the sidewalk you'd go down some steep stairs, reach the door, then go down more steps. i remember that these steps were definitely not to code...the tread was 6" min and the rise was over 9". i remember thinking to myself in the dream, "i wonder if these steps are going to kill me if i ever get home drunk?" this was a big concern actually because i knew i would. anywho, i entered into a hall, then my room was on the left. the windows were at floor level to the outside, so i could see people's feet walking outside. it was a decent room with it's own restroom. the living room was to the right, off the hallway. it was a long space, 30' maybe. the girl i was sharing this space with had a huge television. i mean huge, it practically covered the entire wall. i also remember being worried about the town ruffians, or crackheads if you will. i guess i felt like this dream took place in l.a....the end. it was a weird dream, but i liked it. i love dreaming about spaces, houses, rooms, walking through these areas. anywho...i live in albuquerque now. currently my life feels directionless. i get too lazy. i need to do things. i'm 25 i live with my mom i've never had a boyfriend i don't ever want to turn into a different person just to be in a relationship. all that girly-girl shit makes me want to punch something. blargh...i'm tired of hearing women talk about men and how they need one then they question if they're good enough. no more dude. fuck that shit....i'll continue to be single. the end.

so if I were going to watch an olympic sport, I've found it would be track cycling. that shit is hilarious! it reminds me of watching a cock fight. then 2 seconds of a bitchy race and they're done! I want the dutch to win because they have interesting outfits because all of the other 'leaders' of the olympics are always red/white/blue, which is also the NL flag, but thank god they have a different colour for sports.
oh yeah, and I figured out why my adiml was deleted. what a bunch of anal cunts. I wish I had the time/energy to start my own photography community, and my only rule would be, no shitty ass photographs. people post so much shit in that community. I saw one last week of this obese family eating constantly and I kinda wanted to barf.

i have a favour to ask all members who are sexually active! i need your unfortunate stories of coital comedy! tell me about the time your man came in 12 seconds! the time the dog walked in and joined! or even the time you ate anal lube and your mouth went numb. stories only told in hushed tones, that are rendered useless once you burst into fits of laughter at your friends misfortune. these stories will be posted anonymously at www.coitalcomedy.blogspot.com, a brand spankin new, sex related blog. comment here, and i may just use your story! dont want to identify yourself? go ahead and post in my personal journal!
*disclaimer* I will do my best to hide peoples identities to protect myself and the story teller. if there are too many identifying facts in the story i may not use it. also, i have the right not to post any stories that contain children, animals, or subjects of questionable legality. lastly, no matter how hilarious your story may be, if you are under the age of consent, i WILL NOT post your story. don't come crying to me if i didn't post your story

I just got the address of the place I'll be living this semester (or however long). It's so close to school.... 5 miles! I was hoping it'd be walking distance, and it is, but, that area doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to not running over people and not mugging people. so. I may drive and just go for walks. I'm rethinking running because I need something intense this week to make up for vegging out last week and eating 1/2 shittily (but I managed to slim down a bit regardless). oh, I shall miss that Halo, but it is best for all if we parted.
anyway, I'm so excited about moving, even though I know it will be a little awkward for a little while, but I'm used to living with strangers now.
just trying not to stress about everything else. pant, pant.

long overdue...
i returned from portland. such a wonderful visit. i am in love with the northwest now. i must put some pictures up online of the trip-- the oppressive heat of tucson has left me once again terribly unmotivated. i did manage to apply for a permanent position at the university... if i get it, it will be my first 'real' job with benefits, access to the university library, paid vacations & use of the rec center. let's not get any hopes up yet.
i'm completely broke (literally empty bank account). ciaran is paying for most things these days & i will be paying him back. i must find another job to supplement the part-time work i'm doing now. vintage clothing shop ? not very lucrative... but easy & probably fun. i like steaming & hemming garments.
someone posted a missed connection about my brother on craigslist. its pretty flattering, i think. he's fortunate that i read missed connections obsessively, or i doubt he ever would have known. i hope if he responds, he makes a point to say that it was because of his sister that he wrote back ! .here's the posting.
new photographic obsession is francis bruguiere. he photographed anita berber's husband/lover in a series intended to be made into film that is completely stunning. unfortunately, there are little to no reproductions of his work available online. we own a good portion of his work at the center for creative photography, so i was privileged to handle that majority of this series in the last month & digitize it.

this is the only image i've found online. a lot of the series looks similar to this.
some other work i discovered in a catalog at work is by a contemporary photographer, jeff bark.
despite it being somewhat fashion-y i'm astounded at the beauty in lighting of this series, & was even more excited when i discovered that he set all of these images up in the studio. when do i get to have a studio where i can create a moonlit swamp?
